Description
A birthday card to fiance's nephew. Wanted to draw a sassy fox. Been hitting construction drawing left and right and one of the things I'm trying to do is not being a slave to my reference photos and adding some flare of my own. Still need to learn to do proper backgrounds though
This was a paper test for Hahnemühle Collection watercolor paper. I was excited about how well it handled masking fluid and the paper is super smooth but it kinda went downhill from there. The water dries up WAY too fast just as it did with Fabriano Artistico. Lifting behaved a bit strangely as well. As did layering. Such a shame.
It would seem that Stonehenge Aqua still remains as the best paper for me personally. I just need to learn how to deal without the ability to use masking fluid.
