Lol. Yeah, these characters change clothes a lot throughout the series and there are a hell of a lot of characters so each has to be unique and well defined.

You know, I really hate it when characters don't change clothes in cartoons. And have you noticed that they are rarely shown going to the toilet? It's quite strange man, really strange.

Did you knew that the Japanese were voted as the most perverted nation in the world? I mean, look at all the freaky-ass hentai!!! And there's even a sex toy for men that has the form of a cup of noodles and has an anime character drawn on it XD!!!!
Who do you think are more perverted, the Zenn or the Japanese?

Sarspax In reply to AntaresDrake [2010-09-17 05:45:44 +0000 UTC]
LOL. I wouldn't say perverted. I'd say unique. Although I suppose to our western tastes it is pretty perverted. xD Ha. I don't think they're quite as shy about sex as we are. Lol though.
The Zenn by a long shot. They make the Japanese look like nuns.

Necrofelia combined with cannibalism. This can be considered a religious death right(exists only in a few practices). Appreciation of the body unto death. Highly ceremonialized. Has a very rigid sequence that needs to be followed.
While they do have issues with beast sex they have no issue with humping dead flesh. After it is dead it is considered food. So animals are on the menu after that. Pun fully intended.

Necrophylia combined with cannibalism? I'm quite shocked. I'm sure there have been humans who have done that, and there are Cannibal Corpse songs that speak about that.
I wont lie, I did consider consuming the flesh of a dead loved one in the past, but this actually happened when I was in the middle of a strong depression.
I wouldn't do that in my five senses, nor I have ever done it.
They screw dead animals?!!!!
You mentioned that that ritual only took in a few practices. Are you talking about religious sects? What is the ceremony like?

Oh hey I found it. Lucky guess on my part.
Ok. So:
It's not my thing either but I really wouldn't be shocked if someone did do it. We do have some history of cannibalism.
Yup. Though its not as if everyone does it. Some people like it some people don't.
Yeah, religious sects.
The ceremony to be brief is a bit like this:
It's similar to the main stream practice of consume and burn the rest in the funeral pyre except that it is only done with immediate family and lovers. It's generally only done with a body that is within two days dead. The body is cleaned with scented soaps and is laid out on a stone slab(with folded blankets/cloth underneath) in an easy to access position-usually on the back. The stone represents their strong upbringing, their special unity, and the mountains their ancestors evolved on. They form a circle around the stone and in no particular order each individual: walks to the stone while saying something to or about the dead, places a gift for them near the body(usually something small: a necklace, a knife, stone carving, bar of handmade soap, a little jar of something sweet, article of clothing), then they position themselves and use their teeth to grip the body somewhere before screwing the corpse(there is no way to say that delicately at all lol), at climax they bite/tear off the chunk of flesh they were holding and consume it before returning to their place in the circle. You are not permitted to clean yourself up afterwards, even wiping away blood from your mouth/face/chin area is considered offensive to the dead. They try to take as large a chunk as possible during their turn. This goes back to "you are what you eat". They will live on so to speak in whoever consumed them.

The ceremony brings back memories of when my Grandfather died. I remember I wished to get my hands on his ashes so that I could send to Life Gem, a company which makes diamonds out from the ashes of the dead. I would wear his diamond in a necklace as symbol of him always watching over me.
Which in turn reminds me of this:

The whole ceremony wasn't offensive to me, actualy it was beautiful because you could see how much love they had for the person.
