Kinda its a really old computer with RAM leakage. I'm using it to learn Terminal for now.

Good luck. Best way to learn Terminal is making a Arch Linux in Virtual Machine..

arch linux is good to learn with the whole config part, but for now ubuntu will work for learning bash.

I will be teaching her to set up a debian server soon so the aptitude package manager in ubuntu will help her feel more at home when learning.
