Description
This page...despite different...body structure the bow Twilight's making may look familiar to some people, especially those who read manga. Personally I wasn't too keen on this scene, but has persuaded me to include it, and in the end we found a consensus - in "A Princess' Worth" Part Two there will be brief explenation of that gesture in regard of Cockatrice

Hahaha thanks, yeah we worked on the concept on how both of them would interact with each other and in some ways one is neccessary for the other, Sunset needs Twilight and vice versa. Part 2 explores that dynamic some more

If that's something about the story I wanted to avoid is to go into too dark places, I got bit fed up with obligatory dark future scenarios, so I guess in a way this comic is a result of that fatigue of that subject

That posture is a sign of complete submission, as it leaves the wings completely vulnerable.
Winged ponies usually only do it towards their rulers, as a silent way of saying 'if i have displeased you, break my wings'.
So for Princess Twilight to be doing it here, she is showing just how bad she feels about the situation.
But, does the Cockatrice understand the Princess' words, or is she thinking 'free lunch'?
