Wonderful design man! How are kobolds supposed to look like in myths and legends normally?

They have many various depictions in myth and fantasy lore. I've seen them look like dwarves or goblins. Dungeons and Dragons Kobolds looked like reptilian Dogmen. I wanted to do something a bit more offbeat.

This guy is incredible! I am amazed I didn't see him when I was browsing through your gallery the first time! Armadillo's are always good animals to base creatures on, because they are so unusual.

Well, they are cute until you fall down one of their holes and nearly break your ankle. Even then, though, you can't find it in yourself to hate them. So you merely run them out of your yard with a smile on your face!

I can definitely see the armadillo (or speedbumps as we used to call them in Texas); I also see a bit of rat in this guy.
I really like the glowing glyphs in the skin. The color scheme was perfectly chosen. Do the glyphs serve a particular purpose? I assume the glowing eyes are an effect of their adaptations to seeing in darkness.
I like the font you used for the title, too (yeah, I like fonts. I'm a dork. Oh well.) Do you recall the name of the font?

I kind of figured that the glyphs are magical tribal tattooing that like his eyes help him see in the darlk and recognize other kobold tribes.
I'm a font dork too so it's cool. Morpheus, I believe is the name of that font. It's one of my favorites.
