FULL VIEW!...
started as a throw away speed paint just to try my brushes(my brushes were acting strange so I had to make them right and tweak the settings and stuff.). but then I didn't throw it away and bada bing bada bong there he was. like a german child urinating uncontrollably into his own eyes. solid snake.
I reposted it because my stuff is damnably unappreciated. where's the damn love yo?

haah thisis cool, it migh tbe solid snak, but it reminds me more of the drawing from panzer dragon, that game is justso great, the saga one anyway, i didtn ge tto play orta, though 1 and zewei were also really good, i just love the story behind the entire universe of that game

yeah I know it's a suck ass site these days. and that hateful rimfrosts crappy comic strips that have come to my attention is always on the damned todays favourites. i mean before there was like real artists there on like arcipello and the occasional manga thing. but now there's just shite.
I've joined a forum which seems to consist of decent artist were i hope to get some appreciation. although some dude on it seemed to have the whole "commenting" stuff all the way around. it's not about looking for faults in a picture. I mean some people think that they must have some constructive ctiticism when the picture looks god in general. it's really like they don't look at the picture but just try and find whatever they don't think is realistic. besides I don't fancy things being to realistic. enough ranting on my behalf. sorry.

heh. yeah. ever read Pop bot? I know ashley wood is getting so much attention right now but he is really brilliant. and pop bot is a brilliant book. you get soemwhat the feeling(when looking at ashley woods art) that he knows how to draw reality yet a twists it and brings the most interesting parts from it. and with brilliant writing. it's great.
also mike mignola is great. one of my personal favourites.

but yah those are the artists I fancy. also people have said that my stuff looks like ben templesmith which I haven't checked out since like yesterday which I might as well mention. you might like him.

Well, most artists I really looked up to and that inspired me from the beginning, are long gone (ack, now it sounds like they are dead or something.).
Back in 1997 there were three homepages I visited daily - the three artists that inspired me to start drawing in first place. Unfortunetaly, two of them are no longer active on the internet and I have no idea what they are doing today. One of them are still active on the website of hers and on DA. This is her: It might be kind of obvious why I like her art; but the reason why I like her art so much is that she has the best realistic fantasy and weird ideas too - - + the weird humour. She is able to draw just about anything... background-wise and color-sheme-wise, whatever she draws; I can still tell it is her art. Her sketches are sometimes hillarious.
Other than that, I really do have big different tastes in artists - but when I want to get inspired in my catagory (*cough* as in; the mere things that I am able to draw...) I just surf around the net on random comicartists or animatior sites; or people who are just increddibly skilled in their own kinds of styles. (example; you.). I cannot really place my finger on specific artists or categories anymore - the interest change all the time, and it is always different.

just can't get into drawing sometimes. I hate it. so dammably much.
but yeah... My favourite when it comes to pencils is Marko Djurdjevic and Jon Foster and when it comes to painting I really love Ashley Woods stuff and Sparth. but recently I've been checking Ben Templesmiths page and Ashley woods. you should check em
oh and I like some of Yoshitaka Amanos stuff (I know alot of people say that but the man is good with some motives.)
oh and the most recent artist that has come to my attention is Dylan Mandryk. some of his stuff is resally great.
hey that's okay I suck at putting things into Genres and categories.. maybe because I myself don't really want to be put in a specific category feeling like I'm exacly the same as the others in that very category. great artists aren't the same.
oh come on "incredibly skilled in their own kinds of style" dammit I'm not even scratching the suface of my own ambitions... I want to go deeper and faster and smack those limits of mine straight out of the arena... but I try.
heh no worries I've written more... although it was all so confusing because I wrote so much then that they even called me a nazi... people are really shitty over the internet sometimes and they have a tendency of taking the slightest of sentences as personal attacks. I hate the internet(or well more the people I encounter here on) but it's a good way to waste time.
so there you go. check those artists! TWIST THOSE KNOBS!

haha, yeh, people are weird over the internet - -or much rather; people are slow when it comes to differ from what sarcasm/irony or humour is in plain text. That's what most of the misunderstandings I jumped into were about at least. It makes me doubt into the fact that internet is one step further into broader communication; which it's not.

indeed they are. the internet is just a sick shortcut for all pervs and every now and then you meet someone neat... but then it turns out they were just and inflagulated siamese whale groin... there's just been something with me and whale groins lately... not sure what.
