Description THE STORM SERIES: PART THREE
*May contain spoilers.*

The Series ~~> [link]

#1- Circa 1988, Storm took on this look after regaining her mutant powers, a kinda combo of her original costume and the leather punkass ensemble. She also let her mohawk grow out, though her hair was still shaved at the temples. This was during Marc Silvestri’s art run on the book, and I had a hard time duplicating his hair style, so I finally gave up. Ororo wore this costume until she was physically reverted in age to her pre-teens in UNCANNY X-MEN #253, afterwards she wore mostly street clothes and a version of the team blue & gold costume. This period obviously doesn’t fit my template, so I didn’t draw it. Maybe later.

#2- During the 9 issue crossover event X-TICTION AGENDA, circa 1990-91, Storm, still age-regressed, is abducted and taken prisoner, along with other X-Men and members of X-Factor and the New Mutants, by the government of Genosha, which is secretly being manipulated by long-time whackjob Cameron Hodge. As seen here, Storm is eventually turned into a Genoshian mutate slave and returned to her normal age. I’m not entirely clear on how this happens. I could just go re-read it, but it’s a Claremont issue and what are the chances it will make sense anyway? The orange in the body suit here was supposed to be more yellow, but that marker died and this is what I had. Marker budget is a little skimpy these days, don’t ya know.

#3- With her hair grown back short after the events of X-TINTION AGENDA, Storm returns to her earlier black costume, which is slightly altered here by Jim Lee circa 1991. This costume only lasts about one issue (UNCANNY X-MEN #273) though, as the X-Men are almost immediately spirited away by Lila Cheney into space for their next Shi’ar-centered story arch. Oh joy.
