Ohhhh, ok i got it now, sooorrrry !! Well, this man here is not the default Hawke,i didnt use any mod just based on another preset and created him BUT, i know that some mods like that you probably want (change default face) exists, you can visit the nexus (if you are not familiar its www.dragonagenexus.com , i trust this ) and see for yourself (you will find plenty of other mods as well) and no you dont have to pay anything, just become a member!
I tried mods for aveline or isabela even anders, even for armor and swords and i didn't have any bad side effect

The only side effect i know it is that when you create your own Hawke yours family faces change (mother, Beth, Carv)nothing else

No , you do not need a mod actually, you just choose another preset when you create your character (after the first 2 that is for original Hawke)..What, you don't have this option???

you misunderstand, the mod to edit the default face, to have the hair and beard and bloodsmear.
