Long years of civil war and national reform have birthed a sinister new power in the West - the Axon Sturm-Reich. Hailing from a newly-founded province in Germanic Europe, the Reich is a small but powerful fighting force, owed in no small part to the scientific genius of its weaponry and bio-modification sciences. After defeating his political adversary for control of the new nation through a coup (who's very existence has been stricken from the countries history), the recently-appointed Emperor Richtofen has taken it upon himself to live up to his Teutonic ancestry, and has launched his powerful fighting force across the breadth of the continent in a bid for total domination.

Although a small nation with a small army, the Reich has a significant advantage - science. Years of secretive, immoral research and experimentation under the cover of the recently-ended civil war has yielded the more horrific devices of the Axon arsenal, from miniature nuclear missiles and seemingly-unkillable elite soldiers to the legions of undead themselves. Some say that much of this ungodly technology is credited to Occult worship and research, but this has yet to be confirmed by outside powers - although such is a distinct possiblity, especially considering the Reichs apparent power to raise the dead.
