Well...it's been ages since I've uploaded something 'new'. I've been swamped with freelance and commission work so It's been even longer since I got the chance to do any artwork for MYSELF.
This piece is just me treating myself to something new and original. Naomi is a character i'm fleshing out for a Deadlands game I'll be playing in. The tech is a bit too advanced for the setting but I couldn't help myself...I love glowy things c__c;;;
But well...sorry if you were expecting something grand and epic from me...this is just a quickie I threw together for a character concept...I'll hopefully have more interesting and nicer pieces to upload in the future.
And props goes to *Nashya for talking me into using cell-shading again. It's been ages and I know it shows...I'm very rusty in the cell shaded department c__c;;; But you might be seeing more of it from me X3

And yes, I will start using the DA watermark from now on, I've had my artwork ripped off too many times. Sorry if you don't like it, but I don't like having my artwork used without my permission, so it stays for now.

Awesome concept--and well executed!
We almost played a deadlands campaign, but it got canceled. We did get to play a Savage Worlds campaign in a future setting, though, and she'd look great in that.
I love her gadgets and her future doctor outfit. Also, she's one of the few female Doctors on DA--well, that doesn't have her boobs out at least...
...and the cell shading looks great to me!

I think you'd be better off with a custom watermark. All that one does is tell someone the image is from DA. I can't read your name at all on it.

Fewer people would need to use that lame watermark if DA would just use a little extra code in their website to prevent "right-click, save image as" from working so that people would need to contact &/or pay the artist to get an electronic copy of the file for themselves.

Honestly, the right click protection isn't very hard to get around. Especially with the download option available.
What would really eliminate the need for watermarks would be if people would stop being jerk-offs and taking credit for other people's work. Unfortunately, that's unlikely to happen.

She looks great. I think the glowiness could fit in a fish out of water sort of context in Deadlands.

Perhaps instead of the watermark splashed over the entire image, you could maybe write your deviantart address in smaller letters across the very center? Sayael does something like that, and it makes the image retain it's.. well, "prettiness".
If not, there's also a tutorial on DA that instructs you how to place an 'invisible' watermark 8D;; All you need to do is highlight the picture using your mouse and the watermark shows!
You've done well with the cell shading though
