Ever since I drew this I've wanted to draw sufin in a war setting again. However, once again I didn't really know what I was doing. I tried to do everything I usually can't do: Perspective, action, several characters at once, finlands face ect.It has tons of problems and isn't exactly "finished", but it will have to do.
I was inspired by this battle, however very loosely so: [link]
Please don't take this painting as an accurate description of it x__x.
If I got it right, it was a war between a danish army and swedish rebels. The danes won and the rebels had to retreat.
I don't if Finland actually should be there then, but shippers gotta ship.

Denmark owned south Sweden therefore the dialect/accent spoken down there sounds like danish even though it's swedish language. ^^

I really love Fin in this picture! His face show a lot of emotions, he was hurt and exhausted, but had to be brave to save Sve. When looking at this picture, I could hear Fin telling Sve that everything gotta be alright...that he will take Sve out of this war, back home together.

I really like the way you draw expressions, the emotion comes across very strong. I think it came out wonderful, love the colour palette and the unfinished look seems to enhance the overall atmosphere. Great work!

I can hear Fin going all "oh bloody hell, Sve, don't you dare go down! It's me who's going to drag this big lump of manflesh around!" In my head he'd disguise his worry and fear with irritation and treat it as a "joke", telling Sve the naptime's over when that Danish soldier attacks. But obviously his voice would waver.
I especially like Fin's hair here

I adore Finland's face in thisss
He's so adorable, even when he's sad and angry and frustrated and tired and carrying an unconscious Swede on his back...
Perspective on that thing the random soldier is carrying (spear?) could be worked on, maybe..
Also there's that patch of ice under them, which is really shiny and clear and looks different from the rest of the picture? It kind of caught my eye, but not right away...
