Here's an improved drawing of Gearing. She's my "Speed Demon", so she's got a lot of power behind her. This is how she would look when she has to stop very suddenly. If this reminds you somewhat of the Ars Nova Cadenza Haguro, you're right. She was my inspiration for Gearing. I made her stern deck plates raise so it can add a "sudden stop" look, and as a form of drag.Related content

What is her maximum speed? Do you think she could outrun Shimakaze's max speed of 100 Knots?

Yep! 160 knots! That's using her special equipment, however. Her normal speed of 95 knots is just a little slower than Shimakaze's speed.

Oh man, that would make Shima just plain jealous. Heck, that's even better than the Hakugei III.

Heh, I can picture Gearing deliberately showing off to Shima just to make her jealous.
She does have a weakness. Her Klien Field does not hold its full strength, and can take only one or two corrosive torpedoes compared to about six or seven.
