Description Welcome to part two of ScabbedAngel's World Famous "Illustrations of Monsters and Madmen"!

Here today, to begin the Thanksgiving Week festivities, is one of the most depraved and deviant monsters of last century, Albert Fish! Child killer. Cannibal. Extreme sadist. He enjoyed the flesh of young children and was a paraphiliac. His sexual deviations included sadism and masochism (It was discovered during his examinations that he had 29 needles imbeded inside his pelvis, which he had inserted in the flesh beneath his scrotum for pleasure.), coprophagia , urolagnia, and of course cannabilism. After having an abducted and eaten one of his victoms, he sent a letter to her parents which included the following statments among others; which were perhaps even more wretched: "I choked her to death, then cut her in small pieces so I could take my meat to my rooms. Cook and eat it... It took me 9 days to eat her entire body."

It is claimed that he is the inspiration for the character Marv's lines "is that all you got?" in Sin City. This is the question he has been said to have asked when the first attempt to electrocute him was unsuccessful.

For those of you still with the remains of an appetite, enjoy your Thanksgiving.

When asked why so many use Ed Gein as their inspiration for films and books, Robert Bloch replied "That's because they've never heard of Albert Fish."

This fiend had so many twisted predilections, there wasn't even a medical term for all of them.

This picture is outstanding.  It captures perfectly how Fish must have presented himself to the unwitting parents of Grace Budd.  The blood splattered teddy bear is especially gruesome.

I think he was only found sane for his trial because the public was so disgusted by his behavior and lack of sympathy that they knew it was the only way to give him what he deserved. Look up Joe Coleman (my favorite artist). He has the actual letter Fish wrote to grace Budd's mother!!! What an absolutely fascinating man he was. Definitely my all time favorite!

Death is too good for him. He should be made to suffer a long and painful torture and burn him to death

He would have only liked that. I think if lethal injection was around, it would have robbed him of that little joy.

Definitely my favorite serial killer out of them. He's like the worst traits of pedophiles, serial killers, cannibals, and sadomasochists combined.

Also, even though he had a horrible upbringing, he seemed to embrace his the result of his psychosis and abuse fully, whereas others like Gacy and Gein seem more pathetic and, at times, morbidly shameful.

Not Fish. Anyone who can write and talk that clearly and candidly about luring, butchering, and eating kids right in parents' faces knows no bounds. He was obviously tortured, but this doesn't seem to be what bothered him; if anything, it only further encouraged him.

The bloody teddy bear is a nice touch; from a distance, it looked like a heart or some other equally delectable organ. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it's very effective nonetheless.

For me, Fish is the most evil and souless of all the serial killers. He actually scares me a bit.
The teddy bear is a nice touch by the way. Very simple but effective!

I am somewhat of an addict of crimelibrary.com, which has a lot of information about serial killers. I have read the information on many of them, but this man disturbed me more than almost all the others combined. It is hard to explain. There is just something very, very evil about him, and you captured it well in this picture. I can almost imagine his eyes turning red as I stare at his cold expression. I would favorite this picture, but honestly, it is almost too haunting and disturbing for me. I just can't imagine having him stare at me on my page while it is the featured favorite.

I have a healthy interest in this stuff... Well, in my case it's probably a tad bit disturbing.

It is intriguing for some reason. I don't think we'll ever know why it is though. Oh well. Made for some rad art.

Well sir, your description certainly suceeded in making me lose my appetite....

This is a great rendering of a monster clad in human skin. I'm glad you chose the teddy bear, instead of depicting him holding the hand of a child soon to die, it would have been too much...the bloodied bear is very telling....and heart breaking enough in itself.

I'm really enjoying this series, can't wait to see the next one. I love your style, man...it really stands out. Keep it up!

The eyes send a chill through my spine. I think the creepiest part though is that if people didn't know who he was or what he had done, he would look like any other older gentleman.

The graininess and the background really make it look like an old photograph. And, as mentioned before, the doll was a very good idea. Excellent work!

MistressLegato [2006-11-21 20:36:59 +0000 UTC]

A very tasteful way to represent the dead children, but without being subtle. Really interesting. What a sick fucker . . . kinda glad they electrocuted him more than once.

"Ride the lightening you sick son of a bitch!" Hmmn... "Ride is some more"

I couldn't agree more. When I was finished with this one, I must admit I was feeling somewhat ill. Staring into the face of one of the most grusome monsters of the last 100 years would probably have its effect. Thank you for your thoughts, and for looking Miss Legato.

Thank you I was trying to make this reminicent of an old portrait shot, what with the grain, lighting and sepia tones. I wanted something somewhat subtle to represent his crimes. I'm glad you like that decision. Thanks again.

But i don't think he was wearing as well.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScabbedAngel In reply to Yamamura [2006-11-21 19:40:44 +0000 UTC]

For his suit, I used an early mugshot as reference... however as he was described in his later encounters, he did look quite a bit shabbier. When he abducted Gracie Budd, he was said to have worn a shabby, blue, striped suit. So I simply added the stripes to his mugshot suit. Also I kind of wanted to mimmic an era portrait in tone, so I thought the suit would be... "suitable"?

I'm glad you like it man!
