Personally? I would leave the aircraft as they are, I think they help create a sense of depth in the image, and in my opinion you have already produced enough detail on them to make them stand out well. I think with the walker in the foreground, you could just add hints of detail here and there, a piece of mechanical equipment, some light hitting a smooth surface of it, maybe even a light in the darker area? like a infra red target light or something? The clouds I think you could just lighten the left edges of the cloud just to hint at the strongest source of daylight coming from that direction

this is looking pretty sharp, the big plus for me in this is the aircraft. There is a good level of detail on them and the lighting to their rear has worked really well. The engine lights from the back of them has contrasted really well compared to the rest of the image which has a more pastel feel to it.

very insightful feedback, cheers derbz! Glad you like the contrasting textures and details. I have a request by a friend to redux some of this, blow up the size of the close aircraft and maybe the walker in the foreground and light up the clouds more. Think it will work?
