Description
With large cities expanding right up to the edge of the surrounding wilds in many parts of the world, living a semiferal life is increasingly considered a privilege as well as a political statement. Anthos who both qualify and manage to achieve that way of life become essentially living tourist attractions with very little privacy and exposure to plenty of social risk on top of the obvious hardships encountered in such a way of life. But they say there is simply no more desirable life, whether they are motivated by intimate conviction or by doing whatever it takes to help funding conservation efforts.
Oil painting on canvas, 35x50 cm.
