Description
Ashi, from Samurai Jack season 5. One of the "Daughters of Aku". A group of women raised from birth to hunt Jack. Even though they are zealots to the core, Ashi has shown the most signs of humanity among them, so it'll be interesting how that plays out through the rest of the season. The return has been top notch, and when it's all said and done, this will be Genndy Tartakovsky's animated magnum opus. I took advantage of the literal meaning of her name here.Related content

Ashi's already become one of my favorite chicks. She's got a pretty bangin' body and seeing her struggle grit-teethed under the duress of electric shock with her limbs manacled was incredibly satisfying.
I'd always heard people asking me to draw that bullshit trap of Trans-Aku just for the sake of "becuz bewbiez" but of course I don't mess with that genre, and so there was really no woman in the Jack mythos that was both memorable AND physically appealing.
And now we have a Vegeta-haired shadow ninja and burgeoning humanity and some almost feline eyes.
Of course, like all legends, she was invited to Scamwich's studio and asked to take her shoes and socks off.

She's just so cute and full of fight and determination. It's a perfect storm of what makes her appealing. I noticed Genndy's pretty fond of that hairstyle, since it's practically the same one Princess Ilana had in his previous show, Sym-bionic Titan (a cool show we'll never see the ending to). But, add that fierceness and the bodysuit and it's all flavors of wonderful.

I can tell that, like Jack before her, she's going to win a deep-seated admiration from the viewers. And it's probably going to endure with the full force of a cult fandom's love backing it. Whatever her fate, she's definitely that rare immediate success.
Shame about Titan, that had potential. I wonder if there's something about that hairstyle style that benefits the animators...

Not sure why throughout most of his battles, he has to go nearly naked. I mean, I get it. Clothes may get torn. And of course, I wouldn't complain if it was like a fem jack, losing her layers, but still.
Hope there's at least one scene of Ashi, being barefoot.
If not, oh well.
On another note, kind of sucks that this will be the finale to Samurai Jack.
Will be coming to a close by sometime next month perhaps.

Too bad she'll probably be erased from existence when Jack eventually defeats Aku in the past. Although... I suppose it's hypothetically possible that he'll later meet and fall in love with her mother, and produce a daughter just like her.

I can't believe how incredible the comeback is. Not only did Cartoon Network not ruin it, it's actually looking like a really good ending for the series. Sort of wish Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls would have had similar treatment...
