This precious gal has been sitting in my "finished" folder for a hot minute, so it's finally time she was posted! This is another piece for LadyT over on PonyIsland of their lovely fairy pony Starburst . She loves to visit new places, and so I thought it would be great to have her ending her adventurous day having picked a wild rose and made some new friends. I was asked to create a sunset scene for her, and I think that was the right call- the colours ended up really bringing her to the forefront.

I've been working on different techniques to help me find my style more. I found that I like doing somewhat more painterly backgrounds, since it allows me to keep loose and expressive (or try to be, haha) and keeping the details and focus on my subject. I really love the way coloured linework looks, and I think it really pulls through here, so I will likely be keeping that moving forward!
