Sorry for the lateness of this comment, I wasn't aware I was the first player.
Anyways my tag word was 'new' and this was the newest thing in your gallery. 
Also I don't consider myself a photographer in any way so I'm sorry if I get such wrong. First off this is an fascinating subject to take a picture of but I believe in photography that angles should be taken into account,  in my opinion I'd love to see this from a lower angle looking up at the subject of the image making it have a sense of power in a way. Secondly lighting, I'm aware mother nature sometimes doesn't do as we predict but in my last statement about the angle I think the weather/ lighting situation could be overcome by doing that. 
I'm thinking now that I've looked at the image more that another wonderful way to picture this would to get the camera closer to the castus eliminating the background and still showing the top of the cactus which is beautiful and I'm guessing is what you intended to get in the image because of the lack of angle. Anyways I love this, your work is beautiful. Keep up the great work.
