I really love the contrast here! with the blurred background and sharp foreground! I'm not really strong to critique photographs, but I think this one has turned out to be great! I have the sense of the rule of 3rds used here and that always seems to be good! If we believe that the pink would be the positive space and green - the negative, then almost it splits the space in half! It almost gives the yin and yang feeling. I find this really interesting!

Honestly I agree: the closer shots of flowers, the better! The petals usually make interesting rhythms and we can notice a lot more details we lose if take the pictures from afar. I also believe that by taking closer shots you have more control of the composition!
I really love this picture and think that you did really great job making it~

Another awesome shot! I really like the perspective of this photograph, it's like the viewer is sitting right in front of the flower. Again, the contrary colors work very well together and the focus is just perfect.
