Until I read the description, I was wondering why you drew a fourteen year old France. Β
Anyway, I love the picture and the symbolism in the flowers!

Hey Scarlette, I saw this post recently about someone who's taking requests for Hetalia-themed Journal skins and seeing as I'd just gotten a Premium Membership, I thought I'd ask for one as well.
I would like to ask the artist to use your picture here, but neither of us will go ahead on this if you don't want us to. So, if you could please get back to me on that, I'd really appreciate it - thanks!
Here's the post I was referring to if you'd like to check the person's creds first: [link]

I guess it depends on the angle and the lighting and stuff. On my computer, it looks like a super-super dark blue - it's got a slight velvety sheen to it.
Actually, here's a description I found just now: "This memorable painting has lost none of its ability to enchant. His mastery of color is astonishing: the black or very, very dark blue velvet jacket against the vibrant, intense red satin drapery; the modulations provided by the pink collar; the bright ruby lips; the warm skin and hair tones, as well; and the pale yellow vest; the white shirt flair; the superbly designed shirt cuffs (and their reflections, please notice, on the mahogany tabletop or in the mahogany tabletop)Γ’β¬βall of this is handled with absolute security and sensitivity." So I guess it's anyone's guess whether the coat was actually blue or black.
