.svg file download is taken down because there were several complaints that it wasn't working.
Anyway, here's the base for the popular MLP trading cards, so you can make a card of your OC, a background character, or whoever!
Some Tips to make your card look like the originals:
The background is blurred a bit so the pony is the mane focus.
The background often has a grayish-blue gradient on the top.
The first letter of your description is larger, hot pink, and in CMR font.
To show the type of the pony, circle the symbol in white and make the word underneath (pegasus, unicorn, earth) white and bold (in the other formats I went ahead and did this for you). If it's an alicorn, highlight both pegasus and unicorn!
I left the symbol for the location blank, so make sure you fill that circle in with your preferred home-sweet-home.
The pony on the front side has a small oval shadow underneath him/her.If you would like a reference or example, here is the one I made: fav.me/d5co4vp

A: Yes! This is for everyone! Please credit me when you do, I like to see the finished product.
Q: What font did you use?
A: The font for the names, location, and occupation is called Celestia Medium Redux, and can be downloaded here: www.mattyhex.net/CMR/
The font for the description is called Futura Medium Condensed.
Q: What program should I use?
A: I recommend using a software that supports layers, like PS and GIMP (download links above). You also use MS Paint (download .png) but it will be a lot more difficult.

Actually! From what I saw on the original trading cards, if your character is going to be an alicorn, you should highlight all 3 species, meaning: Unicorn, Pegasus AND earth pony...

Some people don't realize this! I have a pegacorn OC, since she has wings and a horn. However, I do NOT consider her an alicorn! Hope I could help! c:
