Yep, thats all there is to it and don't worry i only just made my first ever one about a year and a half ago and now i'm designing them.
Go for the dogs first, they are super easy and kind of teach you how to do the rest.
If you get totally stuck check the journals on my profile page, there are links to some fan made 'how to' videos.
