That one getting a bit sliced looks more like a THING than a man, but nice work there still.
Nice effects with the sword shattering.

And I kinda prefer creatures. <.<
Ppl you see every day, while not creatures. And LUCKILY not some creatures.
Like that white dragon your summoner pissed off recently.

This great picture will be featured in Mind Dagger, Legend of the Swordmasters ("la saga des Maรฎtres d'Armes), a pen and paper roleplaying game inspired by celtic and nordic myths, sword & sorcery and mangas. The picture gives you the mood The core book is scheduled around the end of the year. The game will be in French, so I don't think it will interest many people here on DeviantArt ^_^ What is certain is that the picture rocks, and I am proud to have it in my game.

Thank you Kevin for your awesome work!!!

Oh, and what do you say bout my signature?
(made it up myself one day)

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Antaria-Nova [2010-05-27 14:11:24 +0000 UTC]

So I've heard

Not bad at all, fairly creative ^~^ Only thing I'd say is to make it sound more relaxed, "laughable context detected" sounds a tad forced, maybe "Humour detected - initiate laughter system" or something, but maybe I'm just being picky

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Antaria-Nova In reply to MoonlitCrescent [2010-05-28 09:04:30 +0000 UTC]

It's meant to be computer-ish, so hence those expressions.

Oh, and just to continue the conversation, here's a couple more thingies I've come up with at a point or other sometime:

"May the best one win.
May the winner lose.
And may the loser eventually win the winner who lost..."

And

*randomness is healthy in small doses. please pick up your daily dosage of randomness by visiting your local Weird-O-Mart,
and purchasing a bottle from the Healthcare section on ile 43, next to Life on 42.*

And maybe a less good one but still...

"Be positive. There's always that silver lining. And if it isn't a cloud it's on, you have a better chance of noticing it
and getting your hands on it so you can sell it."

In case you didn't understand the point with 42 becouse you haven't seen the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy-movie or read the books, you should do either or both.
The book (The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy) is far better (and far longer) than the movie, though. And the movie actually is but a fraction of what happens in the book.
And if the movie had been longer and had more of the book in it, it would surely have been almost legendary, as the book and its writer are.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Antaria-Nova [2010-05-29 11:10:12 +0000 UTC]

I see. I still think it sounds better my way

Clever, thoughtful and looping. I like it.

That's especially random... and yes I do get the Hitchhiker's reference. I'm not sure what else to say except that it's cool that you're coming up with your own ones that aren't bad at all

...which in of itself would be a silver lining, yeah Reminds me of the classic tunnel one ^^

I've seen the movie, and while I haven't read the books my dad and brother have and I know plenty about them even though I should probably read them sometime... and books are 99% of the time far better than the movie of the same. There is of course always the possibility of a sequel perhaps... and that would be legendary.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Antaria-Nova In reply to MoonlitCrescent [2010-05-29 11:54:33 +0000 UTC]

Actually, Eoin Colfer published a little sequel.
I loved it, and it continues the story a bit, where it was rather cut-off at the end of the original.
It's called "And Another Thing...".
You should read the original first though, before you can read it, or you'll be totally lost and won't get even half of the good jokes.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Antaria-Nova [2010-05-30 13:02:29 +0000 UTC]

I heard about it, I think they read it too but like you didn't really tell me anything specific about it. I'm sure I'll get around to reading it someday, all of them that is. In order, of course. Wouldn't be right otherwise.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Antaria-Nova In reply to MoonlitCrescent [2010-06-02 11:14:36 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's hard to tell anything very specific about a book without to some extent spoiling it for a possible reader.
I can tell you tho, that it is funny, smart, and very much worth reading more than once.
(the sequel, that is. Obviously the original is even more of those qualities that I mentioned, and even rather complicated and such aswell.)

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Antaria-Nova [2010-06-04 12:52:37 +0000 UTC]

Still

Absolutely! Any more come to mind?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Antaria-Nova In reply to MoonlitCrescent [2010-06-06 10:41:55 +0000 UTC]

Tom Holt.

Valhalla, (single story) Tall stories, and Dead funny (books with 2 stories).

Those 3 are my favorites so far.

Oh, and then there's the the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon. But the series is called the Inheritance Cycle)

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Antaria-Nova [2010-06-06 13:36:44 +0000 UTC]

Sweet, I'll add them :3

Yes I've heard of the Eragon books
