Great drawing, not enough people out there draw the dragons from final fantasy games. I liked this one more than the Nova Dragon. I don't know why, but somewhere between the weird, long-sharp nose.....and the ridiculously large and obvious crotch turned me off on the Nova Dragon's design.

Yeah, that's sorta a shame that people don't seem to draw the FF monsters, FFIX in particular. They're really neat.

Heh, at one point in time I was going to attempt EVERY monster in FFIX....before I realized that was completely bat-shit insane and hit myself very hard, lol.

Really good job on the wings and muscles on this one, and the pose that you have it in is spectacular beyond a doubt. I don't need to harp on the spiked elbows (^_^) but that head design is cool and it is portrayed nicely here. Really, really good job overall, you ought to add color to this one.

Thanks! You know, those aren't spikes this time! They're supposed to be feathers, but they don't really look like it. Oops!
And I think I might color him, but some spots on him, mainly some of the feathers, are supposed to be pink. Like, hot pink, pink.
Bleh.
Those spots are going to be red, instead.
I hate pink....

It might be partly the whole RPG turn-based combat format...upgrading/replacing/buying weapons & leveling up doesn't really bug me, but not being allowed to DODGE attacks does. That, and I was always more of an old-school Mario man myself. I will, however, have to look up some more of those beasties online at some point.

Yeah, not being able to dodge is a bit irritating. And, Mario is awesome!

I must be a philistine for never, ever, EVER playing a single entry in the FF series...especially with beasties like this to drool over. Avian wings, wicked talons, that crazy little head...and a spine-crown/fringe combo that reminds me of Legion, that nasty alien insect from the second Heisei Gamera film. Great work, as always.

But, yeah, FF does have some awesome monsters, no matter which one you play. I just happened to enjoy IX the most (in conflict with most FF fans.)
