Now, I'll be the first to say that if there is a single Toho monster that I completely and utterly despise with every fiber of my being, it's Spacegodzilla. I'd go into why, but that would probably turn into an hour long rant.
I will say, however, that this rendition of him actually makes him look tolerable. He's definitely got the twisted, ferral, terrifying appearence that a 'dark twin' to Godzilla should rightfully have. Considering how close this is to the original, that's really saying something.

Thanks! Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla isn't one of my favorite Godzilla movies, but he was always a neat kaiju. The shoulder spikes are on his shoulders, but I could have placed them better.
I'm glad you like it!

Bah-every saurian-kaiju knows bristling joint-spines build character. That aside, SG really needed this 'makeover' for the following reasons:
-His arms (and claws) are now at a useful length.
-Ditto for the tail-mace's spikes...IMO, the film-version's were a bit TOO 'crystalline' (by which I mean blunt).
-That nifty little cranial horn, while purely decorative in nature, also benefits from an extension.
My only question here concerns those big twin-spines in the shoulder region. Are those the actual shoulder-crystals? Because it almost looks like they sprout straight from the back, with the smaller shoulder-spires flanking 'em.
Overall, this version of Spacey appeals to me because just maybe he could get through a fight without relying entirely upon Beam-Reflecting Forcefields(C), Telekinesis(R) or Armor-Piercing Energy Bolts of Doom(TM). Which also HOME IN on targets. Sheesh.
