for some reason this piece stressed me out more than it should have
ok i managed to do a second entry for the CT Dutch Equine 2nd Annual Summer Show ! and by sending in Cooper, now every adult horse at ESCB has entered a show

Riding Cooper was like sitting on a firecracker just about to go off. The young stallion was a force of nature, and he has yet to accept that a human could be in charge. So a show sounds like a good idea..... Not. But Luke didn't feel any pressure for himself or the horse. This was a novice event, the obstacles no higher that those they used to train. In conclusion this should be a good experience for the bold stallion.

Seated on the broad, muscular back of the trakehner, his eyes focused on the setting sun. An interesting scenery for a cross country competition. There was still one pair about to enter the track before it was their turn. So Luke relaxed his posture and allowed Cooper to nibble on some grass. The past months had been intense. It was their maiden season in the equine sports world and they already tried their best to get their horses out there. Back when he first came up with the idea of breeding and training sports horses he would have never dared to wish things would go as smoothly as they did. And as soon as this competition was over, they would have competed with every adult horse at the stables at least once. A satisfying thought, making the last stressful months worth it. But then again, new horses are coming to Bruckstein soon, the trailer of a breeder friend already on their way. And then it would start all over again. But Luke was looking forward to all of it. So he tightened the reigns and made Cooper focus on him once again. The young stallion started making nervous little canter steps, as he felt that he was about to start the course. Luke gave his neck some strong pats. "You better save that energy, you will need it young Padawan!
