Description Star Wars is a good source for odd-looking starfighters, and in my opinion nothing looks more alien than the TIE fighter. It is also a great challenge to built it in LEGO, which - sadly - this model shows. I cannot say that I am fully (or at all...) happy with this, but LEGO TIE Fighters are quite rare so I decided to show it anyway.

Just wait.

I have a new, way better design planned... and it is already done in Lego Digital Designer so making instructions should not take long.

I think instructions will be released soon after the premiere, IF everything goes well and the result satisfies me. Also, please note that I do not make instructions by default, this is literally an exception proving the rule!

This is impressive in that it took me a long time to figure out that it was lego. It wasn't until I recognized that piece on the very top that I figured it out.

Didn't Lego have an official TIE fighter model but the side panels were one solid piece? Either way, this one is way cooler.

No, in no official set panels were one piece. Usually they consisted of larger baseplates with some slope pieces to finish them out.
