As I have promised before: New and better.Aside from obviously new cockpit ball design, panels and pylons have changed as well. Panels have different texture which reflect light in much more cleaner way, and pylons are redesigned for better structural integrity. This TIE you can pick up and fly around the room, making that TIE-SCREAM sound with no worries that something will fall apart

Dang, you should try again and again - creating models from existing pieces is very hard to do and new types of LEGO blocks get introduced every few models just for the sake of keeping shape.

I have to admit, I thought the new official Lego TIE Fighter looked good, but your one makes the official one look like it's built from Duplo bricks!
Fantastic design, and one I might have a go at making myself. My only concern is the trim around the solar panels it's a pity they don't join at both ends.

They do, but the hinge is black and pushed back few plates. I had to do this to achieve proper angle.
