if "mama Cloud" see the mess on the bed, he will a) scold them or b) forgive them after he sees their adorable puppy face XD

Ah its no spam. Spam is junk mail. Yours is never junk. Filling it maybe, but that makes me happy when its your stuff.

I always try to come and comment and see all your new works and how your feeling.
You draw one of my most favorite character and often and in a very lovely style and way.

And its probably odd, but most artists I just watch and I don't really ever comment unless they request it, but I feel like I always have something to say to you.

SchizoCheese In reply to VixenReborn [2009-10-02 15:50:44 +0000 UTC]

I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to say something, it means alot. You're not obligated to, yet you do. Thank you so much.

I enjoy these interactions with the people who watch my work, or offer their support in other ways. Be it a simple one word or even emote comment/remark, if someone can spend a minute of their time to say something to me, then it's only fair if I return the favour.

A person can produce the most beautiful art in the world, but if they're mean or rude to those that adore their work, then that art starts to lose its beauty. If the inside is ugly, than whatever comes out, no matter how lovely the exterior, it will always be tainted within and eventually it will crack the exterior.

I'm curious, who's the lucky character? XD

VixenReborn In reply to SchizoCheese [2009-10-04 16:24:40 +0000 UTC]

How very right you are. I think that is one thing I love about watching you. Your always usually so polite to us reviewers. It makes us want to comment and try to talk to you and to be overall helpful.

Its Zidane.
It was the very first Final Fantasy I played. He has a very special place in my heart.

Well, if one has nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all - too many wars have started because someone couldn't control themselves.

And yes - same here, FF9 was the first series I played and completed. XD Oh, Ziddy. <3

Oreramar [2009-10-02 12:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Hm.
I'm not too sure I like the scribble-shading (if that's what it is) better than the cell-shading you used before, but don't let that stop you from experimenting. If you practice enough with it, I bet it'd look good.
Also, and I don't know if this is just because he's the same size as Zidane here, Luneth kinda looks more like a full teen than a preteen. More seventeen than fourteen.
And that's all the (hopefully constructive?) criticism I have for you, so now that that's out of the way...

I love the idea!
(And the poses and the anatomy and the linework...)
But yes, I can almost see these two doing this. They get ahold of sugary treats, and suddenly all hope of maturity is gone.
Looks like they're sitting on a bed, or at least some sort of fabric, while doing this. Not a good idea; I pity whoever has to clean up after them or force them to clean it up themselves.

Keep drawing. It's not spam if it's wanted.

SchizoCheese In reply to Oreramar [2009-10-02 12:49:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much for the critism. It's appreciated, really, it is.

The scribble-shading is something I'm experimenting with [my previous submission involved that] and I think for pictures like this with cleaner lines, it probably doesn't work. Intially I wanted to try the scribbling because of the nature of the picture, but in retrospect I probably should have canned it. XD

I actually have problems with standardizing the way I draw Luneth proportion-wise - it seems to fluctuate between teen and pre-teen; possibly because I haven't practiced enough with prepubescent anatomy and overall structure. I've always been working on older teens towards young adults. His limbs probably could be shorter; same with his torso.

And I suspect that poor individual is our long-suffering mama hen Boko. XD

Oreramar In reply to SchizoCheese [2009-10-02 13:08:06 +0000 UTC]

Live and learn - it's just another part of experimentation.
I think I agree with you about the lines disagreeing with the scribbles, but I still have to wonder if it's possible to work the scribble-shading in a way that works well, clean lines or not.

I've not really noticed Luneth's fluctuations much. I think what might have brought it out here is the fact that he and Zidane are shown here at the same size, with similar porportions, even though one is an (admittedly small) adult/young adult, and the other still very child-like in appearance.

Aw, Cloud WOULD be soft on them and clean it up if he came upon the mess. Maybe talk to them about it, but that'd be it.
I'm imagining that Squall, if he was first to spot the chocolate smears, would drag the two of them into the room by the scruffs of their necks and sit down to supervise them in cleaning. It's a surprisingly funny image in my head.

SchizoCheese In reply to Oreramar [2009-10-02 13:18:50 +0000 UTC]

Actually, as long as it wasn't his bed, Squall probably wouldn't give a hoot.

Bartz, however, could be a different matter...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Oreramar In reply to SchizoCheese [2009-10-02 15:23:39 +0000 UTC]

For some reason, I think of Squall as a more general neat-freak. Then again, his catchphrase is "Whatever," so I can see your point.

Bartz? Really? Gee, I would've thought that he would be right in the middle of the frosting fight.

Oh well. It's your Alternate Universe.

Speaking of which, do their parents and families (if they had them) exist in this world? Like Rosa and Ceodore for Cecil? Or Squall's dad, Laguna?
Please excuse my curiosity. The deeper my information goes, the happier I am. That and I absolutely love seeing how people incorporate different characters into an alternate world.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SchizoCheese In reply to Oreramar [2009-10-02 15:33:48 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure - reason being is because I don't know those particular supporting characters' personalities well enough, so I don't want to incorporate them unless I gain sufficient understanding of how they tick. I don't want to piss people off with inaccurate OOC portrayals of the characters they like

Oreramar In reply to SchizoCheese [2009-10-02 16:02:03 +0000 UTC]

That's certainly reasonable. I don't mind; like I said before, I'm merely curious.

It's fine, spam all you like!

Your coloring seems a bit different from before...like you just used thin lines and paint buckets.

But other than that, the poses and expressions are natural and there is a nice fun mood about it.

SchizoCheese In reply to Sadist-Angel [2009-10-02 09:47:22 +0000 UTC]

Sadist-Angel In reply to SchizoCheese [2009-10-02 09:53:38 +0000 UTC]

I do...I mean, your past coloring looks way too good to be paint-bucketed

I am so sorry if it sounded that offensive...

I was just saying that that was what the coloring looked like because it seemed different from your previous works...

but that is just a very minor thing, as your piece still looked good.
