This doesn't really seem much different from your MSPaint ones, albeit the very thick lines which you've said it was too thick. It does look a cleaner though.

Well, they did start out as paper with drawings in it that was scanned, then coloured in. If I had Photoshop, I would drawn in MS paint and then use Photoshop to colour it in.

Oh? Why would you start drawing in MSPaint to transfer to Photoshop to be coloured? Isn't it easier to do everything in Photoshop itself?

I have done one as an experiment at college, and the lines wee really too thick, plus I was using a mouse.

Oh I see. You can change the brush size in photoshop though.
