Actually it's pretty easy to understand: I, as a female gamer, relate more to Revan as woman. I thought her story was better and more emotional, thus I prefer to play and draw her. Who cares about canon? Bioware didn't care about that, and I don't care about what George Lucas decided. My Revan was female, if it bothers you, close the window. The game has two options, that what's canon

Im pretty sure what George Lucas decides is pretty important due to the fact he created the series?
I dont see how its more emotional, as a female you can have a relationship with carth, a characher
pretty much unimportant to the plot. The game COULD have done without him. i believe the male
characters relationship with Bastila is much more "emotional" as you put it. It doesent bother
me that you chose a female, it bothers me so many people think that it doesent matter whats canon
in the story, they seem to think Revan could have been male or female when in fact, he was a guy.
Just just the main character in KOTOR 2 was a female.

Carth is unimportant to the plot? ok, which game did you play kid? Lego Star Wars?

Why does it matter so many people don't follow canon? Just because YOU believe Revan has to be on gender, and others don't, that scares you?

we, as the player, can choose who Revan can be. Bioware gave us that choice. If you really are so paranoid about that, go cry and whine to Bioware.

You seem to misunderstand my point, my own fault i might add. As i re read my comments i see i didn't really express my point right..A better way to put it would be: "No, i have no problem with someone drawing a female Revan, due to their own free will and right, and my initial comment was purely my confusion on why there are so many female Revans, when canonically, he is male, what i have a problem with is people who think that just because you can play a female revan, it makes Revan canonically female, when in fact he was not. Go ahead and draw a female revan, go ahead and play a female revan, but no, Revan was male, and the jedi exile is KOTOR 2 was canonically female. This not a sexist thing, i assure you. If i were to make a Female Luke Skywalker, it would be a OC, and a fan-made character, but it does not make Luke skywalker a female.

TLDR: Dont care, in fact i welcome you to play/draw/write/do anything with a female Revan, canonically He was male, my only point. If you do not like this, take it up with George Lucas, the one who decided it.





Responding to your other comment, i accaully do draw my own things, aswell as my own OC's, i have no idea where you comment telling me to do so ws derived from.

If that was your only point, you're being a douchebag. Yes, we all know that Revan is canonically male...knew that long before you commented here. No one ever said Revan was canonically female. But canon doesn't always matter when it comes to fan works. Female gamers do make up a good chunk of the fan base, especially with BioWare games, and ~surprise...a lot of them prefer a female Revan. Hell, even some guys prefer to play as female Revan.

If you don't care, don't be an ass by trying to set people straight and rubbing their noses in what's "canon." Ultimately, the only thing that matters is one's personal enjoyment of a game...canon doesn't have to apply in that case.

Hence why my first comment was literally me just making a statement i found it ODD that people chose a female Revan, i did not say at all that people should play him male, it was merely me stating that i found it odd. It was the OP who started getting defensive, and me just defending my point, i have no problem with people playing a female revan.

I didn't said that the female version was more or less emotional than the male in general, I said that TO ME, a WOMAN who RARELY gets to play female characters in games, it was. And please, Bastila can be a sister to Revan, as such, it's ALSO very important to the emotional reaction I had when playing the game. It's not just about Carth or romantic interests.

I don't think you ever going to understand, sorry. To some people, it doesn't matter what Lucas says. Especially when the creators of THE GAME (BIOWARE. And so of the character Revan) don't care about the canon Revan, one of the writers did even wrote a female Revan fanfic. So, yeah, sorry, no everybody cares about the canon of a RPG were you CAN choose either sex. Besides, what does it matter to you what people care or not? The game is done, there isn't going to be any sequels (besides in KOTOR 2 it was ACKNOWLEDGED that Revan CAN be female!). You have loads and loads of main male characters in the Expanded Universe, games in general, and well, I probably think that any official books or HQs that involve Revan says he was male, so... Take our official material and be happy. I only get fanfiction and fanart to enjoy my Revan version of the story.

So, in the end, so many people think it doesn't matter, because, well, YEAH, it doesn't matter to them. Not really a mystery here.

honestly, what you care about and dont care about doesent really matter lol. You cant just choose not to accept that revan was a male, because in many books it mentioned he was a male, and in the sequel to both KOTOR and KOTOR 2(star wars: the old republic) it will refer to him as a male.

As i said dont care if your a female in game, and you can make all the fanfic and pictures of a female revan you want, but you cnt just say Revan wasnt a male, because he was. The only reason you can choose either sex is because of gender equality, i dont know nay RPG's that force you to male anymore, especially not biowares RPG's.

Also, im pretty sure people care. Im sure theres alot of people that care more than i do.

My, someone has a problem with accepting a player's choice. Rather than whine to others about how they choose to play their characters, why not make your own drawings?

Clearly, people like me don't care as some people, like you, care about... something, that I really don't get it as well. What IS your point, exactly? That I HAVE to always say Revan was male? Well, he was... to canon. To me, she was a girl. I played Revan as female, so, to she was. So what?? O_o.
