Description  Here is the Chapelle of the Laon's Commandry of the Knights Templar, it was built in the 12th century in 1134. After the end of the Templar Order it was given to the Knights Hospitaller's Order (Order of Malta).
The gisant (recumbant statue) of Guillaume de Harcigny was however displaced to the near museum.

This is another beautiful photo from you, from what I know, this is the best preserved and oldest surviving Templar church in France. I think it is more beautiful than the Templar chapel in Metz, once again, your photo captures the beauty of this small building very well - thank you for sharing!

I never visit Metz, so I couldn't compare both. I've heard it's also a nice city with many wonders, did you like it ?
But I guess Metz would be less peaceful than Laon it's a far greatest city.
And thanks for liking it

To be honest, I do not have many good memories from Metz, even though I visited in June it was raining all the time, I had to wait two hours until they opened the Templar chapel and in the cathedral, I paid 8 Euro for visiting the crypt which had exhibition that had absolutely noting medieval in it even though the lady who sold me the ticket told me that there will be a lot of medieval material there (I do not speak French so we must have misunderstood each other in English). Anyway, thank you again for uploading this!

Yes Lorraine didn't have the best climate of France ^^' I guess the city didn't have enough money to recruit enought people to open the Templar chapel more, our government tend to make austerity against culture nowaday :-/
French aren't very good in English, it's didn't help yes
