Description
As the ship bearing his beloved Frodo faded into the glowing horizon, Sam couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. Dropping the precious book his master had left to him, he couldn't stop himself from reaching one hand out as if to bring him back. Samwise the brave was left alone..This picture... this horrid, horrid picture.. was inspired by ~haloson . She drew a picture of a sam lion that made me cry. ;__;
So I had to draw my own Sam to vent..
I wish I was better at backgrounds because this might've turned out a lot better. Someone else should've colored it as well. I was obsenely proud of the lineart, but you can't hardly see it in the finished version. Grr....

Normally Sam isn't one of my favorite characters, but I just love this picture, it really captures the heartbreak of seeing his 'Mr. Frodo' go away π

Awww, Sam! This is so depressing! :C Its one of those scenes where you want to be sad but happy at the same time. Lotr had such a beautiful ending, even though you never want it to end. Don't worry Sam, you'll be seeing Frodo in the future. C:

That was beautiful!!! It's been a while since I read the books and I don't feel like getting them now; did you write that or make it up? If you DID make it up, it would be a perfect addition to the book! ^.^

I hereby declare you insane for thinking this is a horrid picture! This is excellent, I love that you used inspiration from the book rather than the movie.
I've seen a lot of fanart of Samwise and I have to say this comes very very close to how I pictured him as I read the book. This is excellent work, I love it.
I'm so happy to see a non-movie version of Sam, nothing against Sean Astin or anything, but he he isn't my book Sam.
The colouring is great too, I think it really works well.
