Description This is a for fun project to help bulk out my character work for portfolio. Imagine an MMORPG where you start out the game as a new homeless person in a big city. You fight against imaginary monsters and loot dumpsters for awesome trash armor. As you level up your hair gets longer and disgusting. This is a game I would play.

strange concept but it does sound pretty dam interesting
very quirky designs by the way
If you don't mind me asking why has the middle guy got a bin bag round his leg?

Thanks Stax. I think I did it mostly to add to asymmetry of the design. Maybe he wants to keep wetness off his leg from an old war wound?

No prob I did wonder if it was something like an improv way on protecting a wound from infection or something, just wondering thats all

Also are we correct in that from left to right we are seeing examples of Wizard ("You shall not pass!"), Hunter (w/ loyal animal companion), and Guardian?

haha, thanks for the awesome comments. YES, you are the first person to be able to recognize the three classes I had in mind. There are so many possibilities. Crazy Bird-Park Lady (Home Alone 2), The schizo-mancer (able to summon multiple personalities), shopping cart thief... that one is a little more generic. Bag lady is perfect you should have your wife do the sketch and send me the link! That would be epic.

She's working on it, we noted you had no cleric concept yet so she's putting together a nice craggy lass with a lot of pill bottles bestowed upon her by Holy (Doctor's) Writ.

I would point out in the interest of psychological accuracy (because accuracy is very, very important here!) that schizophrenics aren't usually suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder, but a Schizo-mancer could certainly gain power from the voices in his or her head. Now the Summoner... well, there's your MPD-monologist...

The concept art is great, but the idea... the idea NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Also my wife is ranting eagerly about sketching badass bag lady concepts.

And it was only a few months ago that I mused, "If our idea of a hero these days is someone who just doesn't give a fuck, why aren't there more video games starring crazy homeless people?"

I heard you say that while under your bed just before I recorded you sleeping! That's what gave me the idea! Also, Thanks for the comment. More games need to take this homeless vagrant problem more seriously and I think a good first step is making an insane hobo the star of his/her own summer blockbuster and also the main character in a massively successful gaming franchise.

Indeed, but the MMORPG is most exciting. Think about it, you and the others would have your special HoboVision, the better to read Hobo Sign and navigate the secret byways of the city (and also avoid the house where there's a mean dog).
