i finally finished it..not much to say lmao. Β i really love dan ok
i did most of it in sai and i just slapped on the filters w/ photoshop cs6 uvu gotta love that chromatic aberration

Well, just for the record not all comments you'll receive are going to be cute and praise your work, sometimes you'll get critiques that point out the good, the bad, and the ugly, and some of them aren't going to be like me who am actually trying to be nice and simply point out where it's weak, some will actually try to destroy everything you do by pointing out the slightest mistake, not to help you out but simply to rant about it and make you feel like crap.
My point is learn how to take a critique and to tell when they're being an ass or not.
Trust me on this on this, I've seen all 3 of ink master, I know how to criticize a work, the lines, the contrast, concept, idea, execution, the black, the colors, everything! You cannot argue that, so when you leave your store I hope you use what you've learned so far to improve.

the thing about critique is that you need to know when to take it and when to leave it.Β usually its a good idea to take it, no matter how small, but sometimes you gotta leave it, like if its just not helpful at all
the difference between a good critique--sorry, a constructive critique--and yours is that the other actually tries to help and yours is just flat-out insulting w/o giving any tips on how to make it better or something.Β ive taken some good critiques in my time as an artist so dont think i dont know the difference between a good one and a bad

another thing--critique that is given without even being asked is considered rude even in professional art circles, so like..try not to do that ??Β i mean i know ur trying to help but honestly its better to not give critique unless it's asked for, that can really rub people the wrong way (like me apparently)
sorry man.Β i honestly think it looks fine, and i know not everyone is gonna agree obviously, since art is subjective and everyone has a different perspective/taste regarding art.Β but a lot of people--ok everyone who's seen it and has given me feedback besides you--like the way it looks as well, and i guess im gonna go w/ the majority in this case.Β of course im always working to improve on stuff like faces and heads (theyre my favorite), but maybe its better for me to work on that on my own, since thats worked out pretty well so far.Β you should have seen how they used to be lmao, they werent too great
