The Gilmarian Marine Corps has been one of the foremost fighting forces of the Free Nation Confederacy for hundreds of years. The Stiorm Ridires, the storm knights, are the heavy troops that have descended from the brave Gilmarian knights of yore, and wear armor akin to their ancient brethren, updated to defend against modern ballistic projectiles . They rush forward behind great shields, leading attacks, felling men with their storm axes, swords, and pistols, their armor taking immense amounts of punishment before a knight would fall. The standard trooper wears a heavy armor vest, and some have other armor pieces.
