Description
This was a little scary, while looking for a beacon we got caught by a real blizzard. The wind and blowing snow grounded Rockstar (my staraptor) so I had to try my best to trudge. Infernape would come out to blaze a path with Flame Wheel whenever I ran against a really impassable drift. I didn’t like having him out long in such cold so I made sure to let him help out in short bursts and got him back in a pokeball as soon as possible. Being a ghost type, Mismagius was able to phase through the worst of it and kept an eye out for any obstacles or other dangers while we just tried to keep moving. Mismagius wanted to go farther out to look for beacons but I wanted everybody to stay as close as possible until we got out of the storm. It was dangerous but all we could do was move forward, who knows how lost we would’ve gotten trying to change direction in order to try getting back. The worst part was knowing that a beacon could’ve been a foot away from me the whole time and there was no way I would’ve seen it.

Artisty comments: there are so many effects in this! Fire, steam from the melting snow, blowing snow, reflected light from the fire, blurred areas from the heat of the fire, and Mismagius is semi-transparent. Also while I’ll admit the background isn’t very detailed it took a lot of work in order to give it a that sense of receding into a fog the way things do in a real storm. I feel silly cause it might be the hardest I ever worked on a background and you can hardly see anything -_-
