Sure I'm game.

Compared to the other one, this picture works much better IMHO. Your simple graphic style lends itself well to the complex composition, whereas the more artsy style was a little overbearing on an already busy design. And I like these unusual perspectives, a real treat for the eyes.

The cropping is slightly uncomfortable to me though, I wish the hilt weren't resting on the edge of the picture. I could only suggest rotating him a bit CCW to rectify that. *shrugs* He might also be cool with some more elbow room, perhaps set in the corner of the picture with more white space. I dunno about that one.

Now you need a background! Oooh, dark walnut flooring and an oriental rug set at a dynamic angle...with some fireglow, all slightly out of focus. I would love to see it in context. Is he vowing loyalty or something...perhaps some intent would be good also. He doesn't look angry exactly and since he isn't looking at the viewer I have to assume he's concerned with something "off stage".

to exlain what he is doing. well he is kind of had the swearing for vengence thing going on. but yeah no background witch was my bad. The reason why I did that was this illustration was simply a colouring exersize. I wasn't going for anything over the edge. I just wanted to see if I could pull him off style wise. colouring isn'tmy strengh and I'm still very much in the learning process so the only thing I thriving for is improvment. But thanks Santi. I enjoy your crits very much and I look forward to more...

Yes, It looks pretty good for your solid shading. Maybe adding a few more layers would make it pop out a bit more but you'll feel more comfortable with that as you go. Adding a darker shade to his pants would've made them look a little more dimensional as well.

Good job brother!
