Description This was taken from the Belvedere above Champex Lac in Switzerland. In the distance is the village Volleges, and up in the mountains, the ski resort Verbier.

The image is made up of 5 pictures, from Ev -2 to +2, and merged in Photomatix pro. The software's noise reduction was used on all underexposed photos, and it seems to have made quite a difference.

If anyone has any advice on how to lower the intensity of particular colours, in particular the greens in this one, then that would be really appreciated.

kind of a surreal/water paint result here... pretty fair result, but mayhap some more contrast/tone required? BTW I use the HS10 as well... pig of a camera

Thanks, yeah im still not sure about all the different settings, but eventually im hoping to try and get a more toned down look. how do you find the hs10 for its autobracketing mode? i find it quite fiddly to change the settings half way through one picture!

If I have tripod/time to set-up... no prob, though range/steps is somewhat limited compared to -5/+5 on most other ... most all my shots are done in RAW (single shot) and I often create exposures from that then use for HDR & post-process tweaking ... as for adjusting saturation of particular colours, Ps layer is no prob, and I believe the free GIMP can do, if you do not have Ps

thanks a lot for the advice. I think i may try using either ps or GIMP to reduce saturation as well as get rid of some of the halos that turn up on pictures!

yeh, or do a couple of versions, and blend/layer using brush to get the best of both into one all the best ...
