Description FULL VIEW PLEASE! there are manymany details that are lost in the thumbnail.

this is ::LycΓ©enne Fatale::, which belongs to . i stress.. *HOON did the lineart. i only colored it and gave it a background. i don't think my colors would have worked without such solid and kickass lineart.

he provided me (and anyone else who wanted to have a crack at it) with the .PSD file with his lineart.

again, i think i have gone through a few artistic barriers, and again, it is to his credit. it's so very rare that a person gives back as much (if not more) to the community as he takes from it. that is a truly selfless and admirable thing to do.

so *HOON , thanks again for this opportunity to grow. i salute you dude. truly.

this took, like, a whole night to do. i was using my eyebags as ashtrays. oh dear. sleep. sleeep.

i saw this from HOON's journal, and i would have to say that this is one of the best coloring job of the bunch.

I've been watching this journal of HOON's to see who does what. This is the best so far because you did more than just color with in the lines. The blur effect, the foreground and background, the distance effect wiht the left arm, the shells, I think this is what HOON was hoping for! Excellent work.

heh, throughout the whole thing i was asking myself how HOON would handle things. that, along with the pointers that he gave on that very journal entry, was what gave birth to the completed piece. (and cool that you noticed the left arm-fade. i liked making that the most)

i can't wait to see some of the works in progress in their finished state. because they are drool-tastic.

coloring it was quite the grueling task, mostly because of the hair. it's amazing that HOON can get away with it in just a few hours at most. i think that's what made a lot of people not put backgrounds in. making the flat colors alone made my knuckles hurt.

hey there! why yes i do!

best thing to do is to just try out different things for yourself and see what works best for you, but these tutorials are always great for a kick start, or somewhere to start. you can try *HOON 's tutorial of Intergalactic Beat session, found here: [link]

you can also try out *pacman23 's oO PSTutorial1 Oo, found here: [link]

and, for more tutorials, deviantart has a whole section devoted to various tutorials, digital painting included. when you browse through recent deviations, just specify that you want to browse through Resources>Tutorials instead of everything. a lot of good stuff to be had there.
