Dejah Thoris is a Princess of Mars in Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Barsoom" series.

Research on the character, as well as countless depictions of her by many painters, cartoonists, and illustrators will reveal that, as one of the more humanoid species, Thoris has red skin. Burrough's humanoids reproduce by laying eggs, however, and as such, I felt, did not (necessarily) require naval cavities. (Even though bellybuttons were depicted on her eagerly in the past....artists just love to draw middrifts on sexy action heroines.) Depositing eggs would probably require a significant hip/thigh placement. The novel describes her as having an "oval" face, though it was not specific as to how that oval was oriented...artistic liberties strikes once again...
