EnglishBe absolutely honest, if you know the bible you know it has explicit content. It has nudity, sexual themes including: fornication, sodomy, grupal sex, incest; it has violence: torture, mutilation, stoning, lynching, homicide, suicide, genocide, fratricide, infanticide and almost everything that ends in "cide". I don't think (honestly) that children should be exposed to this material until they're old enough to "understand" it. However, I've never seen a warning label on the cover of the bible...

Sean absolutamente honestos, si conocen la biblia saben que tiene contenido explícito. Tiene desnudez, temas sexuales que incluyen: fornicación, sodomía, sexo grupal, incesto; tiene violencia: tortura, mutilación, lapidamiento, linchamiento, homicidio, suicidio, homicidio, fraticidio, infanticidio y casi todo lo que termina en "cidio". No creo (honestamente) que los niños debieran ser expuestos a este material hasta ser lo suficientemente maduros para entenderlo. Sin embargo nunca vi una advertencia en la tapa de la biblia...

i dont really care for christianity or catholic, or religion in general. i personally think theyre all full of crap. if "god" loves us so much,then why would he set us rules that are impossible for us to follow. plus, nothing about religion is plausible.

The bible doesn't have bullshit rules that the catholic church made up to strike fear in christians that MAY have wanted to be more liberal than we should be.
This is why I am no longer a Catholic. I am a person with a growing spirit that will go into heaven because I know what to do and it's in that black book called the bible. Follow it's teachings and your spirit develops and you have a relationship with god.
Ignore all the bullshit the Pope and his clergy come up with. For example, Lust is a sin..yes it is if it includes adultry and coveting your neigbours wife which is 2 of the commandments, any other form of lust is not a sin.

There was a picture here...I was looking through my favorites and found this, but I didn't know where it'd come from. Now I remember, it was a Bible, just a book lying almost flat, with a Mature Content sticker in one corner. Now, is there any logical reason why this deviation should now be a message telling all who see it that someone didn't like the fact that the Bible contains mature content and someone publicly said so, so the work was removed...? I mean, hello, freedom of speech people! If any idiot can come on here and post a nude images of genitalia, why would an image of a book with a joke sticker on it be banned? Darned religious fanatics.
Sorry about your piece, scuzzo. I thought you were absolutely right; the Bible does contain a lot of objectionable content and there really should be warning labels. As for those who are so ignorant as to take a piece of work like his and turn it into some kind of "Don't make Bible jokes" lesson...I have no words left for you.
To those who take this review as offensive...I don't particularly care, unfortunately. Sorry, but art is art and truth is truth, and religion is religion. It can all be separated or joined; it takes a humorous piece like this one was to prove that it can be done for fun and maybe a laugh. I doubt anyone else will try now to do the same now, though.

Though I'd never do it, I think it's funny to put a joke sticker on it but I disagree that there really should be a warning sticker because by that logic every history book in the world should have a warning label on it. There's always going to be maturity in history.

So true. I've realized that since my review, having started reading more history books that human history is pretty nasty, and it should all definitely have a warning sticker on it. Maybe something like 'Reading this will change your opinion on just how good the world really is,' or something more complex than 'mature content,' since I know some people can't comprehend those two little words

En cierta medida tienes razón, y de hecho existen ciertas guías sobre la Bíblia en algunas Confesiones Cristinas, por supuesto actitud criticada por muchas personas, así que si se llegase a aplicar una advertencia de este tipo los mismos que estan aqui tan alegremente expresando sus comentarios se pondrían a criticar de todos modos
Haga lo que haga la Religión no es bien vista por el mundo, así de sencillo
Por otra parte me parecen muy divertidas las discusiones que se arman en estos temas cuando son publicados en deviantART, hay tenemos los participantes de siempre:
+Los que estan de acuerdo porque quieren quedar bien

As one who grew up reading the bible, I have to agree, I always thought, if the Bible was a movie it would be "X-Rated", or at least the high end of "R" depending on the director, thanks for bringing this out in the open

Yeah, i read what I call "Biblical porn" in 3rd grade and was horribly disturbed by it. then in 7th grade we had to take our bibles to mass becuz we were gonna sit their for one hour doing nothing (Catholic shcool) and i shoqwed my friends those apssages and the whole class ended up giiggly or nervous- but we all read the biuble- and we showed instense interest.
