Description "The Shelled Wormbrain"

CLASS: WORMBRAIN

This largely boneless wormbrain can collapse its body almost completely within its small, coiled shell, often leaving only its hypnotic ocular worm sacs exposed. Creatures who consume the parasitic eggs obey its every whim, though the snail-like monster only desires to eat rotten vegetation and especially fermented fruits, hopelessly alcoholic.

------

This is only slightly modified from the old version of Eyezome; a little lankier and scarier looking, but I tried to retain most of its crazy, silly personality.

Actual slugs and snails are also highly attracted to fermentation. A tray of beer is often used to rid a garden of them, since they'll get so drunk they fall in and blissfully drown.

I've been racing my brains trying to decide which of these new Mortasheens is my favourite. I think this is my favourite. I love the idea is can collapse into its shell, and also that the shell inexplicably replaces one of its legs.

It's actually an update to an old one! If you search eyezome here you can see both versions c :

I'm not sure how I feel about this redesign. You mention that it is boneless, but the way its flesh hangs off of its limbs seems to suggest an internal skeleton. Perhaps curvier/fleshier limbs would amend this? The fingers look less like worms and more like claws, and I don't feel claws fit in with what you want to portray. Plus the picture seems strangely flat and two-dimensional compared to your other artwork.

Anyway, just my two cents. The Wormbrains are my favorites, and I'm glad to hear are on the way. Keep up the good work.

"Largely" boneless...it has some bones, just not a complete skeleton, and they're thin bones that can condense

yeah, one of my favorites (the author also runs Cracked.com which I've written for) though I designed this monster a good three or four years before that came out, it's based on my favorite real parasite

I';m not sure what's better: The fact that this eye-worm is alcoholic, or the fact it's a documented phenomenon among snails!
