Description CLASS: ARTHROPOID

Fusion between a human and caterpillar. A single touch from the Jujubug's toxic, slimy feeler induces a hibernation almost indistinguishable from death, and a subsequent sting will jolt the victim into a conscious but emotionless state of subservience, obeying the desires of the Jujubug or Jujubug's master. It can metamorphose into a chrysalis-like state to replenish its body, always emerging a different color.

I was fairly indifferent to the jujubug before, but I think it has now become one of my favorite Mortasheen monsters. Not primarily because of the new art (for the most part I do like this picture better, though I think I kind of preferred the legs on the previous version), but because of the new description. I really like its new abilities.

I notice that the jujubug page on Bogleech hasn't been updated yet, though, and the woolypuss and caterpox aren't there yet. How long does it usually take for a monster to be added to the Mortasheen page after it appears on deviantArt?

Great facial construction. This is a Mortasheen that would be cool to see in color.

Well, the baby-like form was the very very oldest, and I kept going back and forth. I tried to make this right in between.

my favorite part has always been the smooth, round, wide, toothy grin adorned head.

I like this redesign of it! The old one was kind of cute, and I miss that, but this makes it more intimidating.

I was actually going for slightly cuter here, with the big wide smile and beady eyes

I love how you turned the antenna(s?) into a cartoony "nose"!

Are the big googly eyes real, or are they just eyespots?

Just spots, the "mouth" is the entire head

Are these neotenic, or can they rarely/randomly pupate into 'adult' moth/butterfly mortasheens?

Metamorphosis is lost in the fusion process, it's more or less a human borrowing the anatomy of the arthropod

Ahh, okie. Now that I think about it, I think I -do- remember you mentioning that for other types. None the less, was just curious if there were ever exceptions. XD Guess not.
