The Arkhams [link] commissioned this over a year ago, but I couldn't upload it until their new album was set to release. Some crude animation throughout; I never attempted a music video before.They described the entire plot and a bunch of scenes they wanted, while I was left to come up with all the monsters but one. The "#1 Dad" is an in-joke of their own

That colour shifting ghost who mutated a woman into a monster seems to be a reference to Lovecrafts colours out of space. Am I right?

My favorite parts:
-The chomping teeth
-#1 Dad, lol
-The swirling phantasm-- how did you animate that? It looks fantastic!
-The Lovecraftian band members. Those will probably be, for years to come, the greatest animated things I have ever seen playing in a rock band.

I animated the color blob one frame at a time, which is easier when dealing with just a big old blob

This is just all kinds of creative. I laughed out loud at the Elder Thing band and the Egon cameo. Was this inspired by beach monster movies?

That just kept getting better and better. My favorite part was when the giant clam came out and all of a sudden their was a Josie and the pussycats style band playing, that made me laugh. And Egon from the ghost busters, but not just the ghost busters but the animated cartoon.. that was a really random cameo, and really random cameos are one of my favorite things. Fantastic stuffage!

This is freaking crazy. I'll never be able to comprehend how you make these fit so well to sound and how you get the motions to... do stuff. I can't explain it, but it boggles my mind how you do all this on your own! The monsters are all so fantastic, I love the shadowy drum monster with the vertical mouths. And yay TRAP!!!

But for timing, flash makes it easy; you can see the soundtrack in a jaggedy line and the frames containing your art are right under it exactly where they'll be when it plays
The three monsters in the clam at the end were meant ta be a Yithian, Old One and Shoggoth from Lovecraft. Besides Cthulhu, all the other monsters are ones I made up
