It is, and isn't. There is a slight reason some people strip their dolls, and that is to reduce staining. Personally, I've never had an issue with staining, but some clothing you get has the possibility to stain your bjd. Just by being conscious of the fact will reduce your chances of it actually happening, and even if it does - a quick little scrub (be light because it's technically a micro-abrasive fiber) with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser will take the stain right off. (Just watch out for faceups)

My rule of thumb: If I knew I was done for a bit with my BJD OR there was a piece of clothing that just seemed waaay too pigmented (like black or anything that just seemed like it was dyed) I would remove it from the doll.

I've read that it's mostly clothing stains and sunlight damage. Have you had a lot of problems with yellowing? The shelf I'm planning to put her on is basically between both windows in my room, and never falls into the sunlight as far as I know.

Yes, I've heard the Mr Clean is the godsend for stains. ^^

Okay, thank you! That makes a lot of sense. I'm hoping to make most of the clothing for her, but I'll still keep an eye out for dark colored clothing left on for too long.
