My "thought" series.

This piece was inspired by metaphysics. I've been dealing much with the intellect lately and came across this drawing by Hogarth. I tried many times to come up but my own drawing that would express the feeling I desired but none could reach the Burne's emotion. I wanted to push it. I took this drawing changed the feeling of the piece. First I zoomed in on the head and the hands, the two things that fascinate me the most. After that I blew it up to a monolithic scale ( six feet by eight feet) to stress the importance of psyche. This piece was drawn with a grid, and it shows the grid within. It is a culmination of personal prints along with prints of Mexican muralists, paying a homage to my culture. The bold and emotional brush strokes stress the struggles of my pre-mature artistic career. A difficult career that is my most suitable vocation while I know that I could exceed in a "stable" career.
