Im not sure if you guys noticed but for a long time Ive been fascinated with military uniforms @___@ I think it was metal gear solid's fault. Anyways, my favorites are Russian and American (whooo xD' ) uniforms because I think they look awesome.
Though I love them, they're a total bitch to draw orz =w=
Here's Russia from Hetalia (who knew) in the present-day Russian highest-ranking officer uniform 8D
This took so fucking long >-> It wasnt because of the ornamental stuff, but the size that I drew this at. The original thing was roughly 3500x5800 pixals, not including the background. What Im uploading here is around 15% of what I originally drew. *FLAIL* I don't think Im going to do this again even though I do like how the lines turned out (I used the pen tool and built off of it with the brush tool).
Im fairly happy with this, but I dont like how I positioned the scarf, and too much of Ivan's neck is exposed D: Oh well =w= Maybe next time.

Gorgeous! I can't even think of a strip I've read so far where you get to see him in uniform (admittedly I haven't read all of them, but I'm working my way through!).
