This is for the redditgetsdrawn challenge thing!

Ro5ert had a cool idea that he told me about. This reddit challenge. Its a subreddit were people upload images of themselves or their pets or themselves with their pets and the intention is that its available for anyone to illustrate. Just draw whatever image you like. It is so low stakes that I thought I would give it a try. I wanted to get back into the groove of drawing again and thought this was something that could be cool and interesting and easy.

I saw a picture of a girl lying down on what I assume is a bed and it reminded me of an image I got on pinterest of this woman laying in a pool of water with flowers around her. I really wanted to draw that but never got around to doing it. You would think it would be easier to just draw that pinterest image of the woman lying in the pool of water as apposed to drawing the girl lying down on a bed as if she were lying in a pool of water with flowers around her...but you would be wrong...my brain...it feeds on complicated thingies!!!!
Anyway I dunked the redditor in water, wet her hair and threw some flowers around. It came out surprisingly better than I thought it would. I have also been meaning to learn how to combine things and this was an interesting way to dip my toe into that. I know half way through this I was doubting that it was going to come out the way I intended but it worked out in the end. There is also this painterly quality to it that I really like. The submersion in water was a tricky effect but it worked out in the end. I wish I could have found a better way to do the hair in water but I really did not want to spend too much time with this. The flowers...I kind of gave up on. I was already committed to doing them but I really did not want to so you end up with this blurry sometimes detailed-ish flowers
