They take about a week of solid work to finish one. Prices vary, this owl costs $800 Australlian dollars plus shipping.

I would love to make a kiwi bird, it would cost $350 plus shipping.

Absolutely amazing work, makes me think of the mechanical owl Bubo in Clash of the Titans (1981 version) - though only makes me think of as they've both made out of metal I suppose, your one looks much more detailedly awesome, and the real Bubo was probably made out of clay to do the stop-motion action.
